Afghan Beret question

What is this exactly please. I know that the Badge is for the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan (1980-1987), but for what Unit is the Colour.
Airborne like most other countries or something else.
The Funny thing was, that the Seller from Russia ( in the early 90's) told me it's Mongolia.

Don't know about that period but at the moment Commandos wear a red beret, I would assume it would be one of those.

May take some day's as I allready brought it to my Storage at the other End of Town. Here you can see it. 2nd Row, 1980-87, the one with the Book.
