Just cuirous if anyone collected French Milice stuff.... I keep looking at militaria shows but never seem to see any of it.

I just come back from vacations that's why I only respond now to your thread.
Generally speaking, milice stuff is rarely seen in France. I can also tell you it is almost impossible to obtain items directly from the "vet" himself since these guys who were enough lucky to escape to death at the end of the war prefer to hide their past. I have seen one or 2 times embroidered milice armband (with a bullion gamma) or a beret insignia but I was unable to know whether they were OK or not. These items are also heavily faked. I own in my collection a French M26 helmet, painted in black with the gamma painted in silver. Difficlut to say if it is an original but for the price (about $ 50.00), I have took the risk to buy it.

hard to find Milice stuff
Thanks for the reply. At this point, I do not have anything myself but I have been looking for the last couple of years. There is a museum in the Normandy area that has a Gamma badge but that is about all I have seen.
I will keep looking though.
Can you post a pic of your helmet?
