What is your opinion of this Italian helmet? I think the liner is WW2 but not sure of the shell color. There is a stencil on the front which appears to be a post war add on. Any help would be appreciated.
If the chinstraps are still in place and they are fabric, it will be a post-war helmet.
The colour is certainly the post-war green and since the 'stencil' isn't (it's a transfer/sticker), I'd be of the view that this is post-war done up to look pre-1943.
