    Brazilian Air Force Wings

    Hi,
For who loves Air Force items, this is a rare badge from the 40's (after WWII) of FAB - Fôrça Aérea Brasileira (Brazilian Air Force). Sterling and zyrcon( kind of littles diamonds ).

cool badge - you sure it is not a sweetheart?

If that is considered regulation, then it is one of the most flamboyent one I have ever seen. Very different pattern than the regulation brazilian wings. Still cool though.

Here is a regulation pilot from WWII:

        Hi Tod,

I've buy the badge yesterday. A friend FAB's collector who saw that, tell me that's not regulamentary( in his opinion ) but certainlly it's a gift squadron for an officer( in the same moment he offers me 10 times more that I was pay, no kids money ). It's build using the art deco shape, very commom on this time. I have a friend who is attached on The Aero Spacial Museum from Rio de Janeiro ( excellent Museum ) and I'm go to do some research there. When I have a veredict, I inform you.
By the way, I had a grand uncle who was pilot in WWI. His name: Carl Holler, The Sänger Flieger. Did you know a site where I can find photos and a little more informations about him?
        Regarding your Museum: GREAT!

          Thanks for the compliment

I can't think of any site straight away that would show your relative but I will check around.

          Cheers,

          Tod

            Hi Rendsburg,

Those wings of yours are in fact a sweetheart brooch. WWII dated most likely.

            Regards,
            Cesar.

Can anyone post pics of a Chilean Air Force pilot wing? WW2 to today, it doesn't matter. And if someone knows of one for sale, that's even better!
