Any ideas about this patch?

Does anyone know what this patch is or where it is from? It is bullion & judging from the crown, I would guess some type of British regimental. The back is a unique leatherette-type material.

Canadian? A Dragoon or other armoured unit? Looks like 3 red maple leaves above the fist, the crown puts it post circa 1952, perhaps a blazer badge? Can't tell the size from the photos.
