For ever changing arrangements inside the display cabinet, now concentrated around the new 5 place medal bar. I will be adding three new ribbon bars with campaign clasps in the coming days. The bayonets are from the Gallipoli Campaign.

The medal bar is also discussed here:

              Dear TWM Enthusiasts
This is the latest addition to my collection which was missing a campaign clasp for a TWM so far. This one is PALESTINE.

Excellent, I wonder from where you find them.

Thanks Alfred, the only way to answer your query is; research, research, research. 4-5 hours a day!

A new * marked TWM just joined the collection. This one has a date plate missing leaving the two rivet holes exposed, showing us clearly how those plates were binded to the star itself. The 9 o'clock arm is missing the enamel and tried to be repaired in vain with red paint (probably nail polish with a similar tint). Also notice the budget Gazi plate (Trevor's clever way to describe it) that we see on common stars and this is the first time I saw it on a * marked Turkish War Medal.

At the end, I love the overall look, how it shows age and how it reveals one of its construction methods. Above all, for once I got a break and purchased it at such a bargain price that even now I feel that the seller might call me and ask for more!

                          Hope you'd love it too!

                          Tan

The new one (middle top) with the rest of the * marked stars.
