and is it unusual to still have the decals on this model ??/

Correct, it's a M37 swedish helmet which has been in use from the late thirties until the beginning of nineties!!! Yes, the decal placement has been also done.

Yes, indeed - this is an early m/37 helmet, typical WWII-issue. Decals were widely used at that time (much more than post-WWII). These helmets were refitted with new interiors a couple of times, the last time (I think) during the 1970s/80s - but this padded leather fitting is spot-on WWII.
