    Imperial Russian Officer's breast badge

Now, I know these 2 badges are pre 1917 Imperial Russian officer's type. But can anyone shed any light on them?

    Thanks - Jamey

Guy's, do they look genuine. I'd say the smaller badge has had the enamel repaired and there is a very tiny maker stamp on the star burst badge. They both came with a bunch of soviet medals, so I do hope they are the real deal. Thanks for your help.

I have no idea on the first (lower one), but the second one is presenting breast star of St.Andreas Order, founded on 1698. I am not kind of expert with these, but I can pretty much assure you that one is not genuine. Not good quality enough, bad details and no proper maker markings.

Here's picture of original one with cross - sold two years ago in German auction with 85.000 eurs + 23% buyer's premium. Wouldn't it be nice if that was a real deal. Sorry for not a perfect picture - I have lost the big picture somewhere...

This is just guessing, but that other badge could be some sort of award from St. Nikolaus Military Academy . Badge itself is similar looking to those, but I have no idea for the meaning of that white enamel shape below it.

About originality can't say much - can be good or not - they often seem to be quite "rough" looking badges like this one too.
