Thank you one and all. It is indeed Tsar Ferdinand. Glenn was right-- there is a very clear "26" inside the horn, as well as two rather odd metal "staples" on the left side of his cap. I'll post a close up scan later-- I figured it would take longer for this much action, but you guys are SHARP!

This is an original photo, "lifted" off a matting, which I had to reduce in size to fit a monitor screen-- obviously a presentation gift type item.

Staples

Rick,

the two "staples" are just the securing points for the so-called "Feldzeichen" - a sprig of oakleaves or fir, a traditional decoration used on formal or ceremonial occasions.
