    Turkish Helmet

Any thoughts on this helmet--I haven't seen this kind for sale but I know they are being faked:

The seller has some seemingly rare helmets including a Polish WWI helmet:

The "WWI Polish" helmet is in fact M26 Adrian, has nothing to do with M15 and WWI... If the Turkish helmet is as original as the Polish one - poor buyer!!

Forgot to add, at least a couple of companies /maybe more/ are manufacturing nowadays excellent "Turkish" helmets. Well, they look brand new and the paint is terrible, but with some ageing and good pain - scarce WWI helmet.......

Well, in fairness I was typing too fast...and referred to the helmet as "WWI." I'd almost want to see this piece. I'll have try and get some other opinions.

I don't know for how long, if at all, the Poles used the M26.

          Hi.

Polish soldiers used M26 in the Polish army in France 1940-41 and in Norway 1940.
I just checked pictures from fightings in Narvik, Norway. Pictures are not clear to be 100% sure helmets are adrians or M26, but are with the Polish eagle on the front.

          Best regards

The front of the Turkish helmet is not the right shape as far as I can see. Should be a bit higher.

I have a book about the histopry of all helmets, used in Poland. Unfortunately it is in Polish all, so I can only look at the pictures On the pictures, there are M26 with painted eagle and with round eagle badge /like the French M29 emblems - a circle and the eagle is on it/. The eagle badge like on the Ebay helmet, I did not see it on a M26 Adran in the book, it was pictured on German helmets and some other.

I think I have the same book. I'm beginning to think this is just a Belgian helmet that someone put a Polish cap badge on to make it seem rare.
