    I agree, I find these WWI and pre WWI uniforms fascinating regardless of the condition they are in.

    About the cold water wash, I have never noted any damage, and IMO these tunics all have already gotten wet before in the past anyhow.

      many moths holes, the stage twice in the deep freeze should get rid of these
      tragic insects. Nice maker Altairac of algiers.

        Dolman artillerie

        Great piece! it's called a dolman. I would preserve this relic by a deep freeze for more than 24 hours. Then subject it to a wonderful moth and larvae killing aerosol. I would frame. Algerian tailor made is a definite rarity. I would hesitate to wash this, because water does not kill moth larvae.
