    World Helmets...& A Finn-Hungarian M-35

This board has had some good threads on helmets. I would just like to plug our Helmet Forum (see link below).

We have helmet gurus Paolo Marzetti & Roger Lacey (Canadian pots) on board, among other knowledgable people. Also plenty of helpful links & a photo section.

I'm getting a Finnish-rework Hung. M-35 & would like to put up some pics here. I don't know if i can do that with Webtv - can i email them to someone here who could post them?

    Thanks.

That's a nice helmet. Interesting how the color is very close to the one I just picked up.

Slightly different liners. Mine is more of the post-war replacement.

Thank you for posting the pics, Ted!

I'm paying $150 including post - did i do OK?

Now that i see a big photo i think the chinstrap is original.

I know very little about Hung. M-35s in any configuration. I'm told the lighter color may be post-war Finn overpaint. (There's a Finnish helmet website but it was recently suspended). It appears the wartime Finn paint was usually matte dark gray.

Marzetti says the originals in WW2 Hung. issue are found in green, light green, light blue, & mustard, depending on the arm of service. Blue was for AAA, i don't know about the others.

In the photo mine looks like it has light blue under the green where the paint is scratched, but maybe that's a color distortion.

The M-35/47 liners are similiar to the M-35, but again i don't know the distinctions. Any help appreciated.

The only marking is DM 64. DM being an unknown maker?
