    Tawian Air Force Medallion...

    Hello group,

has anyone seen anything like this before? If anyone has any info I would be grateful.

From what I can tell this is from a Commander in Chief WU YUEN of the Republic of China Air Force. I looked him up and it appears this must be from the 70's as during the 80's he was CEO of Tawain Airlines..

    Really appreciate it guys!

    Thank you, Scott

The emblem on the front of the medal is the honorary Taiwan Air Force wing given out to dignitaries and other persons of importance. I have also seen these given to WW2 veterans. U.S. Pilots who flew in the CBI theater. The emblem incorporated the wreath and wing. My vote is for a presentation piece given by the Taiwanese Air Force CG

        Hi Irish,

Thank you for the feedback. Very good points.. The fact that the medal /medallion itself is in English says it is designed for perhaps US dignitaries or pilots. I haven't seen another one of these out in the market. I think its neat albeit probably more of a conversation piece for my collection than having any value. Would you agree?

        Thank you,
        Scott

they are an interesting side item for an aviation collection. I have a document somewhere and an emblem that matches this. I will post them soon.
