    Helmet help?

    Hi. Here is helmet from friend of my. Can anybody help to identification it. I know it dutch model but model without metal coat on front and yet is blue colored with some insignia on front. Question is who have them and when?

          Typical Dutch 30's, WWII, and Post-War helmet. (can't tell you the exact 'name', though)
          Insignia on the front is the symbol for the (as the above website also tells) 'Rijkspolitie' (just, police). Probably used after the war, when there were little supplies... Probably originally painted green.

                These seem to be called M40, I have a same one, but with a red cross in a white circle on the front.
                This model was still used by KNIL troops after WW2
