Very interesting - certainly a pre-war military issue in '35 by the war dept but I havent seen one like it.

Made in St. Ouen just north of Paris.

I have seen examples of these go for 250€ is excellent condition, yours looks in reasonable condition (the hose seems to be pretty bad), so I would say between 150 and 200euro, but it depends if somebody is willing to pay of course, French gas masks aren't in great demand.

Thanks for your opinion! - Yes, the hose is very bad, the pieces are hard as stone...

                      Hello,
M34 French Navy Gasmask, worth in that state about 150 euros.
And pretty scarce too, like Didier wrote...
                      Cheers, Pierre

Ebay would be a good place, there are some serious collectors on there and this gasmask doesn't pop up much on the bay. Too bad for the hose, a good hose on this one would have been nice. Is the mask still flexible or has it hardened too??

Well, the face is not flexible - the sites have a bit hardened, but are still flexible:

As the all was said about it, here's an illustration of the very same gas mask, shown with the specific M.39 navy helmet. In this case too, the rubber hose aged badly...

The blue-grey metallic container shown above is here tucked in its off-duty carrying/storage pouch.
