Opinions on helmet on international estand

Hello all I have posted a link from a thread of a helmet that is for sale on the International e-stand. A fellow forum member sent me a PM asking for additional opinions on this helmet. Thanks.

Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did. Quote - Sophie Scholl - White Rose resistance group

Its a rare and very nice helmet. It was made in the Netherlands around 1930/1934. Its a M34 model. This helmets where sold to rumain in 1938 to be used in there army.
The liner and chinstrap our also Dutch.
This helmets with the rumain shild still on it are rare. In the Duth army, pre 1940 , there was also a shild on the helmet, only then with a lion. The colour of the helmet is good. Its the paint job that was put on when it left the factory in Holland.
Maybe the liner is stamped with a CM mark, stands fore Centraal Magazijn.

I agree, a good original example. If I had the means to get this lid I would add it to my collection.

                Ralph,

Perhaps you could fill us in why there was a question asked? This is a great helmet for a helmet collector to add to his collection. However, this kind of comment only raises needless speculation. I think that the person who has the helmet for sale should know the reason for the thread.

                Regards,

Maybe somebody doesn't knows that much about the helmet like others.
I knew that this is a Romanian Crest but it was new to me that it's based on a dutch helmet, so for me it was a helpfull thread as I learned something new and that, I would say, was a good reason for this Thread. The next thing is that this Offer was only good for a very limited quantity of members, because some Members are interested in this Helmet, but it's not for sale just to trade for some other Helmets and I think not everybody has them in the box to give them away.

                    Nico,

I am not disputing the fact that the thread was started. Just that it was not started by the person with the question and didn't state what the question was. That is only common courtousy to the owner of the helmet.

My fault guys I asked for the thread as I was thinking about traiding for this helmet and wanted to make sure that this helmet is leget. You know as well as I do that they are faking these helmets today by sweating off the Dutch shield and putting on an orig Romanian shield.I was told by one collector that he did not like the helmet and told by another that the helmet was ok.So to be safe I had it put up for Disscussion. Here are some pics.of one of mine,I have this style helmet with Dutch liner and with German liner.I also have the type with out shield with both types of liner. The helmet in my pics has a metalic type of color instead the standard Dutch green I have had this helmet for a long time(30 years I think).Sorry for taking so long to post.

                      Enjoy your hobby
