did the Russians ever use different AK varients from another Combloc country?

would a Russian soldier in Afghanistan be armed with a Hungarian AMD-65?

or a Bulgarian armed with a Russian AKM or wearing a Russian helmet?

I remember seeing some photos of Russians wearing Czech helmets but not sure if they also used other gear from another Warsaw Pact country

Not that I have seen, no.

USSR always used ONLY USSR weapons and equipment, from what I know.

Satellite Warsaw Pact nations have been armed with Soviet weapons when they were short of their factories weren't up and running yet, but by the 60's it looks like everyone had their own stuff.

BUT, some WP equipment was made IN Soviet factories in USSR.
