What is this helmet?

Can anyone ID this helmet: country of origin, period of use, etc? The sizing is european and the name on the ID tag inside is germantic.

here in the USA they usually go for around $20

it's one of the finest made steel helmets made, excellent quality helmet

the size range is stamped on the stainless band inside, these were made in 3 sizes:

size: 55 - 56

size: 57 - 58

size: 59 - 61

This helmet cost more around 10-15 euros, it's very common and a few people interest in !
