    Rare. Mihai Viteazul with CASE!

Been thinking. I have shown these before I think but only the order itself. The case is probably as rare or more so.
Does anyone have a case for the Order of Michael the Brave?
I have a cardboard carton for the 1916 3rd class and a fairly nice case for my 1941 3rd class.
    Here they are.
What happened to the people who have Michael the Brave ribbon bars? I would love to see them.

Rare. Mihai Viteazul with CASE 1941

Here is the 1941 3rd class Mihai Viteazul in case. The is a nice case. I would like opinions from others who have seen these medals and cases. I am sure variations exist.

By the way, some peckerhead put a price sticker on the ribbon and near ruined it. I got most off. Who does these things? Why ruin something unless you care nothing about it.

Here is the reverse of the order. I couldn't scan the inside as the lid only opens 90 degrees.

          value's ?

          Hello Charles,

I really love this Rare Rumanian award, do you have any knowledge on howmuch is the going rate for such a example these days ? i have seen fakes of these on a fair in Belgium but i really love them and im hoping one day i can get one original of these .

For the persons who think this is just another Rumanian award, keep in mind that the lowest class of this one ( the III class ) is the Rumanian equivalent of the German KC during WWII and was often awarded to Germans( the most known German awardee was GFM von Mannstein ).

            value

            Hello,

I think the value for a 1941 in case of issue hear in the US is about $600.00-$800.00
The 1916 is less I think. Vernon's guide shows both 1916 and 1941 at $600.00 for the III Class. I can't say if he is close to being right but I know dealers whjo use his guide to sell buy on all but German items so he must give good retail values.
I would think you could find one in europe for less than $600.00. These seem to be very hard to find as many Third Reich collectors want one. I haven't known many Rumanian medal collectors.
I have a rare 1916 1st class to. This is a screwback with the issue number on the reverse and the manufacturer's name. What is that worth?

              originals versus fakes

              Hello,

Thanks Charles for the shared info, does there exist any good reference books regarding this award ?

And how can you tel the difference between a original and a fake award ( any toughts ? ) = im sure they exist, some time ago i visited a fair here in Belgium and i must say they ( = several dealers !! ) offered this order , i find it always suspect if on one moment several orders appear on several tables at a military show and previously one never sees these goodie's.
