egyptian beret,army or police...?

hi alls

yesterday i purchased a egyptian beret,cotton made,sand colour, metal egyptian national eagle attatched to a blue felt piece...

i would like receive any info about when was used and if it is police or army item...

i attatch link from dealer i bought it to see pictures cause at the moment i dont know how attatch the pics to the forum...but if somebody wants i can send pics by e-mail,send me a pm.

I believe this is police. However, what branch (there are many: traffic, investigative, criminal, prison admin, etc) of the police I can't say. If the backing is velvet, it would be an officer rank.

i went to egypt in my first time for a tour during last august and i was checking police berets and those were wearing white uniform and black beret,at least touristic police and on the other hand was impossible to get or buy any beret there,mine i bought here in spain from a dealer...

on the other hand,yes the beret is blue velvet backing and was made in cotton or khaki gabardine...
