Dutch m34 helmet

Hi, I bought this today in the fleamarket and I know its a dutch m28 or m34 but the others I have seen have a black leather liner with brown pads, whilst this has brown leather and green pads. Any ideas anyone?

Hi,

It's a refurb for the dutch civil defense in the 50's. In the same time, the helmet was repainted in a grey/green finish.

Correct, the shells were surplus pre ww2 and fitted with the red/brown leather liners in the '50's. They also got a new paintjob. Value about 50-60 euro in Holland.

I've bought mine 2 months ago without insigna for 20 euros, but with the leather liner in excellent condition.

And that is exact what makes the helmet valuable or not: the front insignia!
They alone sell for 30 euro each.

An army issue helmet, black liner, with plate and original paint will bring a realistic 100-150 euro in Holland

I confirm, I've bought mine in mint condition dated 1939 for less than 150 euros, with a dutch gasmask.

well actualy, they are getting more expensive every day.
some are sold for over 250 euro's last time.
but still, these are very nice helmets !
