Hi,
I'm not quite sure, but your order looks like those awarded by the Malteserritterorden.
I'm quite sure that it is not an official Order of the austrian republic. Neither of the first (1918-1938) nor of the second (1955-)

I´m also 100% sure that isn´t an official Order of the Austrian Republic.

It was aworded of the Malteserorden (Catolic) or Johanniterorden (Evangelic)

BTW this decoration is NOT an official insgignia of the
authentic Order of Malta.

It belongs to the dozens of semiofficial orders that claim to be
an Order of Malta. IMHO the insignia is maybe of italian production (bronce/gilt)
