Help on a couple of Japanese item's please.

    Hello,

Could I ask please for some identification help on these two items a button, Naval I assume, could this be an Officers or SNCO perhaps I'm clueless on this one and can't find anything on the internet.

The second 'thing' is a cap badge or possibly a forearm rank/trade insignia ?
Again I've tried to search for sites myself, I came up with some good rank charts for the Imperial Navy and Army but nothing like this 'badge'.

    Can anyone help please ?

    Kind regards,

    Marcus

PS Sorry about the quality of pic's.

            Thanks Rich,

I'm pretty sure they're Japanese, the letter's/characters on the button I've seen on another Japanese item, I don't recall what it was but I could relate it to my button.

I could kick myseld for not remembering what it was !!!

Any other idea's or Jap collectors out there ?

            kind regards,

            Marcus

                Kind regards,

Hello Marcus I believe your badge with the star is for Army, Air Cadet school
it is placed on the collar tab behind the rank insignia.

As for the pin it is Japanese Naval I have few, I guess these are similar to German tinnies not sure really what there for.
