I have a near mint Japanese helmet that has a "L" shaped crack at the crown (about 2" X 2") 1/8" lift. It's not a battle scar or bullet hole , could a concussion have caused this? Any ideas?
Hello Jaime, I collect battle-damaged helmet shells & belt buckles, WWI-SCW-WWII. Hard to be sure without seeing it, but concussion is typically the cause of this kind of damage.
