    WWI Belgian M1915 Helmet Paint???

Can anyone please tell me what the "Original" paint color of a WWI Belgian M1915 steel combat helmet is. It's been a long time since I've seen an original, but, I remember it to be a tan or yellowish color.

I've searched the internet and have found only two examples. One is the tan or yellowish color I remember, and the other is more green in color.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

The colour has to be dark mustard - dark, brownish yellow. NO OTHER colour was used.
The green ones were 2nd WW. Besides the WWI ones had the visor and neck protection in 2 pieces which was riveted with 2 rivets on each side of the helmet. In WWII this was one piece.
And .... the lion grummed harder in WW I
