I would guess that it is a Czech Partisan badge...or maybe Polish. Not sure if it is official issue or not...

ok,got a responce back from one person and this is what she said:

It's a Czechoslovak partisan's badge, instituted in 1946 for those who
had served in that capacity during WW2, the Czech name is 'Odznak
          ceskoslovenského partyzána.'

so i guess it was issued out???

              Greg-

Nice award! These were issued to Czech partisans and all those who assisted them, thus the reason they often end up in Soviet award groups. I've actually seen a few silver ones, but never a bronze one. I'd assume there was three classes- Bronze, Silver and Gold, based on that. Like I said, I've seen a few, but never one with the issue box and stickpin- that's pretty cool!

OH MY GOD!! check this out !!!!
this maker mark on the back is still in production and heres the history of the company. it's been in making medals for hundreds of years!!!
check out their site it's pretty cool: http://www.mint.sk/

                  history:

The Kremnica Mint is continuously producing more than 670 years. The Mint history started on November 17th, 1328 e.i. on the day of its foundation by the King Charles Robert of the Anjou and promotion of the settlement on the rich gold ores free king town Kremnica. Final products of Kremnica gold mining were florins about what testified the first written reference from 1335. At the beginning of the second third of 14th century that were ducats, named " Good Kremnica ducats ". They became the Central European currency for several countries by reason of their beauty and constantly high purity of gold.

Medal designing started to develop from the end of 15th century. The replicas of the Renaissance as well as Baroque medals are still coined in some foreign mints.

Kremnica Mint took significant position in production volume compared with mints in Vienna, Prague, Štajerský Hradec, Bratislava, Alba Julia, Nagy Banya, Halle and Kutná Hora. The enormous volume of Mint production was at second half of 18th century during reign of Empress Maria Teresa. In the last quarter of 19th century, Kremnica Mint became the only mint of former Hungary. It also has a monopoly on the refining of precious metals.

i have an e-mail into the company manager, so if and when i get a responce i'll post!!

                  greg

it's getting better all the time

ok, got a responce back from the Manufacture and this is what I asked frist:
                    ----------------------------------------------------
hello, sorry for bugging you but I have a question.
i have come across a super cased set that i think your company made back in 1945-46? and would like to know if you have any info on it? also if it came in any classes? like bronze, silver, gold?
anything you could help me with would be great! here are a couple of
                    photos.

                    thank you very much!

                    greg koepp

NOW he has responded to me, and this is what he sent:
                    -----------------------------------------------------
                    Dear Mr. Koepp,

We found in our archive of tools dies for your badges. So, we can
confirm that badges were produced in Mincovna Kremnica in 1946. Now we are finding in old documents more information about this production. If we will be successful, we will send you all possible information.
By the way, our company produced in that year 1,612,413 pieces of badges (without badges from precious metals), so I am not sure what information are archived.

                    Best regards

                    Vlastimil Kalinec
                    General director
