Hi Everybody,
Just wondered what you all make of this - it's a pole-top, in the form of a lyre, made out of stamped brass with a gilded finish (some areas remaining). The reverse is a copy of the obverse. It measures 245mm x 165mm.
But any ideas as to what period it is from? Napoleonic? A couple of stylistic features make me think this: the acanthus leaves and style of the eagles.
Anyway, I'd be really interested to hear what you all make of this.
