Another Swiss Uniform-What can you tell me about it please!

I saw the previous post on a Swiss army jacket and I also have one I would like to have some info on. Know nothing about this tunic except that I bought it here in Budapest as I just can not turn down a good looking uniform! Once I learn something about it I'll put it on the estand. I have a more modern Swiss Border Guard uniform I'll post after the weekend. I'll be away from my computer most of the wekend as I'll be in Vienna.

A picture of the sleeve insignia. Both sleeves are the same. The crossed rifles on the left breast are metal.

Looks to be a model-40 tunic for pioneer Wachtmeister, but I do not know what the star is for.

Thanks for your response. Pictures of the tunic are being sent to a chap who is presently serving in the Swiss armed forces to see if he can help.
