UK visor Romanian army in exile?

This is a Commonwealth Army pattern (London made) officer's visor but the insignia is puzzling... as it appears to be the coat of arms of the (former) King of Romania... The same insignia appears on the front plate of pre-war (Dutch made) Romanian helmets... Any ideas? Perhaps Romania Royalists army in exile in the UK?

      buttons

I thought well maybe the insignia is just a mis-match...Romanian emblem on Brit? but the buttons aren't British either... Its a lion button...so now I'm thinking from Belgium? with a Romanian cap devise? and London tailor tag?.... Now I'm very confused... Romanian Royalists in the UK in Exile? Any ideas anybody? Thanks Nick

Bringing back to to because of change in thread title. Sorry for the delay.

The rampant lion button could be Dutch or Czech. The cap device does look Romanian, but the Romanians were an Axis power in the war. When Romania changed to the Allied side, it was when they were already being invaded by the Soviets, so the pro-Allied Romanian Army wore its own uniforms and used Romanian, Soviet or German equipment.

Thanks for fixing the title Dave! Indeed a strange combination...True the Romanians were Axis...so Free Czech perhaps?
The cap is British obviously, based on design and tailor tag, BUT the Lion+crown buttons are foreign and so is the cap bade...perhaps non matching...thrown together?
The "CC" cap insignia has to be Romanian, the buttons are definately not Dutch eventhough they did have a rampant lion, this design lacks the arrows and sword, so perhaps Czech or Belgian lion?
Anybody? If its an incorrect I want to fix it, if its ligit I don't want to mess with it! Anybody?
            Thanks
            Nick

Sorry don't get the logic of that. anyway the cap is for an officer in Luxembourg's small army. The "C" monogram is for Grand Duchess Charlotte. The Lion is from the country's coat of arms.

Explanation Richard: if its not Romanian (initial thought because of the cap badge, as its similar to Romanian helmet plates) than discount the cap badge as being a ligit part of the cap and base the cap's nationality solely on the rampant lion buttons identification, so perhaps UK based free Czechs? as they also had a rampant lion insignia if I'm not mistaken...and used commonwealth gear...
                that was the thought process...

But if everything on the cap makes sense for Luxemburg (buttons and cap badge do match) you've solved the mystery. That would mean than that its a post war Luxemburg army cap, tailored in London, right? As Luxemburg in WW2was annexed as a Reich Gau, its men being drafted in the German military (or go underground). Thanks. Nick

My guess is that it was made for English troops at the time of King Carols visit to England. You can look up the dates of his visit. Who wore it ? Military servants, attache, driver, etc. I really do not know. Only suspect that it was used during the royal visit.

                    Old thread...thanks for revisiting.
It is not Yugoslavian at all... even though the coat of arms look like a Yugo helmet plate!
Its a Army cap (UK-London made) for the Luxembourg military as ID'd already.
Most likely an early post war piece....The chinstrap buttons show the Luxemburg Lion.

During the war the Luxemburgers were annexed into the Reich and many ended up being drafted and serving in the German armed forces but a small contingent chose the allied side (most likely Luxemburgers living abroad and these were organized in an artillery unit (battery) which was attached to the Belgium Army in exile in the UK. (Brigade Piron)
If its a war time visor it could be from an officer of that unit, but I doubt it...

Here a link on these Luxembourgers in the Piron Brigade (Belgian/Allied unit)
