Does anyone know this medal ribbon?

I thought it to be US, but cannot find it listed in any US medal ribbon references...does anyone know what it is? Cheers, Torsten.

It is a Us WW II period ribbon. I THINK that it may relate to air raid defense service, but this is just a vague memory.

Post this in the US section of the forum. I'm sure someone can identify it with certainty.

It's a civillian service ribbon for 6 months service and this one is for service with the USAAf.
They were in the National geographic "medals" edition of 1943.
