unknown metal box : origine? timeframe?

    Greetings

Please check out below thread in which I posted a metal box that needs some ID. It is supposed to have been re-used by german Sanitäter during WWII, but what is the origine of it? There is some doubt about it being german. Maybe Brittish? Russian?

Thanks in advance for your co-operation!

Look like the tin box carrier for the grenades of the 50mm lanucher that the germans had used from the french. 5.0 cm GrW 203 (f)

I have a pic a home of the box I will have a look at it tonight. Seem to remeber they came in boxes of three

Opps sorry not to get back to you. Had a look through my two books on German lt. mortars last night and only found ammo boxes that held six or eight rounds.

They were split attaché like boxes with either 3 or 4 rounds on either side. Sorry no top loading boxes like the one on you thread.
