    re sporrong

    Terve Jussi-Pekka.
As I stated before, my scanning-knowledge is limited but I´ll give
it another try. Some more info: I think there´s a T in the left triangle, the center number is 916H and the year-number is
X6. As you can see it´s a 1st or 2nd class. Sorry, should have
scanned the obverse in my first thread.

As for the medal, it´s a Sporrong allright. Once again, sorry for
the scan-quality. Thanks for your help.

        Rick!

        YOU ARE THE MAN!
You never cease to impress me with our outstanding knowledge!!
Not only did you identify the persian award, you also made me
aware of it´s condition. I know it´s a bit off base throwing in yet
another object without starting a new thread, but your remarks
about swedes popping up all over makes me do it any way .

This is obviously a commemorative medal for the Saar-plebiscite.
The maker´s mark is Huguenin. So here´s the price-winning
        question: who instituted these medals?

        Signing off for tonight
        Regards
        Peter

            Danish DFB badge

            Hello

The maker's mark on the ''Danish'' badge is a winged ''H'' - the name of the manufacturer is actually written on the back plate.

These crosses were also made during and after WW2 in Denmark amongst others by the jeweller ''Heimbürger'' - they were identical in design, but normally they were made of brass or similar and lack the quality of the 1940 issued crosses made in Finland.

            Here is the maker mark.

And he is giving the ENGLISH Very Rude Salute, too!

I read many languages, including, ahem, International hand Gestures. But Finnish... ... that's as bad as Hungarian for me!
