Ach, that's the problem with all those "botanical" Svensker names: arbitrary, and soooo recently hereditary. Farfar's far (1833-1898) was a steel worker, so I doubt up to officer caste. (On the other hand, I doubt there is one other person here whose paternal greatgrandfather was born as far back as 1833, so there!
)
