Hero of the Soviet Union - fake or wearers copy?

Any ideas about these two soviet Gold Stars? Bad fakes or official wearers copys?

I don't think there WAS such a thing as an "official" wearing copy.

These look like the $60 (nowadays! I paid $30 for mine 5 years back!) display copy fillers you can get at most shows. No attempt to decieve with these-- they're brass and not gold, and no serial number so not fraud. I hope! What did you pay for them???

I needed one for an air force general's tunic that had the hole for one... and I sure wasn't spending $3,000 for somebody ELSE's real one to display on a $150 tunic!

Rick is correct, there wer no mint made official wearers copies of the HSU, not minding what some dealers say. There were copies made, some pretty poorly, for the vets to wear on uniforms. Most of the ones sold now are collectors copies, not real copies made by the vets.
