Unknown Medal Please Help ID It

This is what looks like a silver medal with crown and letters "ATA" over lV. On the back are 4 hallmarks. The medal is aprox. 1 3/4 inches tall. Please ID it for me. The hallmarks look like "GK&S", a lion, a shield, and letter "O".

The lion is the British .925 silver mark. The letter is a date mark, but the coding differs by cities and I don't know where to look that up. The city of manufacture is denoted by the shield which is the symbol for Lancashire. GK&S is the silversmith that made it.

I believe the letter signifies 1909-1910. It might be 1949/50 also-hard to tell, but both "o"s were "rounder" types.
          My guess is 1949/50:
