Early Bundesluftwaffe Leather Flight Suit

Gentlemen,

I have just purchased this 1960 date grey (disregard the colour in the photos) leather flight suit. Does anyone out there have some info on it they could give me? Looks too bulky for a fighter so what kind of aircraft would it have been worn in?
