    Good on ya', Tony!

    My sources on Europeans are extremely limited, but I was bumping against dead ends and was wondering.

    The LG is a joy, but far from user-friendly. But, then, when you consider what they've done here, I guess we can forgive crankiness.

    With the London Gazette and Commonwealth War Graves Commission web sites, reserach on 20th century British gongs has been transformed.

          A couple of additional bits of info on Boyd:

          August 1929 Air Force List: Wing Commander on the directing staff of the Staff College, Camberley
          August 1933 Air Force List: Group Captain and Officer Commanding, Aden Command (which could explain the Iraqi medal without a GSM)
          May 1936 Air Force List: Air Commodore and AOC No. 1 (Bomber) Group.
