    This item appeared at a local store along with a 6x30 Dienstglas binoculars and a Burkha blade. Could this blade be real or just a fantasy?

    "a Burkha blade" ??? Not sure what that is.

    I'd say this blade is Asian or African. Not a fantasy piece but likely a 'made to sell to tourists' variant on whatever the common local knives look like. Because the scabbard is metal, I'm going to guess it more likely Asian than African, though I know that still leaves a huge field of possibilities. Good luck with the hunt to ID it!
