Russian Imperial And Soviet Badge Help Please

I would like to know if these badges are genuine and what they were made for. Do they have much value to collectors?

Hi Wade, the first 2 are recent copies, the originals were made to commemorate the reign of the Russian Imperial dynasty. The third badge looks original and it’s from the 1960s-70s given to police (militia) collaborators, it has some value, but not high.

As Lubo has said, the first two badges are copies and not very good ones at that. These badges, often referred to as Jetons, were extremely well made and a lot of the copies, and there are many, can also be well made. Buying these types of badges is a real mine field and you need to do a lot of studying before venturing into this collecting area.

About the last badge, it needs to be checked as I don’t like this one, it either is a later variation or an outright fake. The original is rarer than I thought, but this one is not it!
