    ID on Para Badge Please.

    What's this please?
    Is it Italian?
Cast brass by the look of it, with bronzed finish, about 6 cm tall, a single strip vertical two prong fitting held by two domed rivets on the reverse.

      Hi,

I never see this para badge, not is Italian.
      regards

Thanks, Italian was the best guess I could make, it's been suggested that it's Cambodian.

Close enough for a cigar? Spanish paratrooper's service badge (established 1958. Comes in different versions for time in service.) Item above appears to be an unfinished piece before the enamel was inserted. http://www.coleccionesmilitares.com/...as/para/bt.htm

Thanks, Spain it is by the look of it.

I think the badge is finished as it has a bronze coloured coating applied, without illustrations in that link it's hard to know exactly what the exact designs of the badges referred to are - perhaps a combat or field wear beret badge?
The background to the parachute on this is dimpled in a way that would seem to be right for translucent enamel.
