    It's French and it's Air related, But what is it?

    Hey Guy's,
    Picked this up and have no idea what it is. Any ideas out there?

    French comemorative medal for WW1.At a guess pilots as medal ribbons are legion of honour ,and croix de guerre both gallantry awards . The brass wing is WW1 french air force private purchase badge.
    often used as a sweatheart device but also in uniform.
    Not worth a huge amount .probably $45/$75

      The medal is the membership medal of the Union Nationale des Combatants, a veterans' organization.

          The medal is common but the mount on the ribbon is really interesting. It's an interesting thing.
