    Rare Croatin Radio/Gunner Badge

    Got hits ultra rare NDH radio/gunner bade. It a beauty any one else has one of these or period pick? Jut doesn’t know if originally it was a black finish, black seams to be getting off. Don’t know if it is oxidation or it had black finish. Notice on back part of finger-print. I wiped one part of the badge with a swab to test my theory and the black came off so don’t know what it is did not touch any theory part.

      I hope John Telesmanich chimes in on this one. Looks good to me but he is an authority on Croatian stuff (he's John T. here on the Forum)

          Yea it is only thing rarer then this is Croatian Fj badge. Another cool thing about it is that it is big size Iab size

            Croatian friend told me that it sould be silver and it is. The black stuff was oxidation. The badge is made of 2 parts you can see join on the side. Front part think has silver finish think or eagle at lest back seams to be solid silver.Took me hall day to clean it. I own big time to inventor of ear swabs so managed to clean without taking off gold finish.


            PS: Notice the notches (about 48 in total some more more on side of shield) on top of right wing think original owner marked his missions.<O</O

                    That is a great badge and as you said hard to find. I have a pilot, radio and air gunner as well. I will get pics to post. I have quite a few Croatian photos electronically and I will see if I have any wearing this badge. How did you come across it? At a show? A collection being broken up? Just curious as not many people collect these.

                      Great thx plz post the picks of your badges not many picks online of the badges. So hard to finds good references. I got my badge from a local dealer don’t know where he got it from; I presume he got form the vet’s family or from someone that got it from them.
