    Here’s 2 variants of the 51 smock
    One is Europe pattern
    One is Asian

Granted, there were some slight variations in the French fabrics, but that one on the right has the light khaki base color so closely associated with the 47-51. The one on the left looks more like the 47-52 fabric.

      Of course I mis titled
      It is a 1947 smock and a 51 smock
Here’s the 47 back pockets and the 51 back pockets
By 52 pockets were removed and print had changed

The 47 pockets have a smoother edge than the 51
This pattern is the grandfather of tigerstripe that the Viets will invent a decade later

          Beautiful smocks!

French lizard is my favorite pattern, in all its variants.

The breast pockets on the 47 with two buttons should have been a giveaway. Nice jackets. Is the 47-51 from Panzerfaust1943? I had him make up a bunch of 47-52 repros that came out absolutely tops.

Very interesting. I like seeing items that run counter to our expectations. Thanks.
