I've been offered this flag. Is there any way to tell without documentation that its wartime? Thank y'all!

It looks rather fine on your thumbnail. By fine I mean consistent with real wartime examples. But this is always a minefield.

There were some folks in our village turning out these and Montagnard crossbows for trade to visiting aircrews or anyone else.

I think a lot of honest VC samples were produced in the same way.
As stated, a minefield in terms or originality.
VC were irregulars by nature, so they had little factory made items of this type.

I know nothing about these, but honestly, you should figure out a better way to upload a half decent photo. How could anyone look at this and give you a thumbs up saying it's original given that it's such a small resolution?

There was a fellow back in the '80s with a Vietnamese wife that used to sell VC flags at Houston gun shows for $15 each, they had stacks of them. I never asked but I figured they were reproductions.
