    NLF flag

I have seen and have NLF flags in conditions
ranging from "mint" to " beat"
I prefer " slightly used" but this one is
    one of my favorites.

          Hello cpt1992:
I am skeptical when I see a large hole
in the star not going through the blue
background, and likewise holes on the
other side not going through the star.
Also small thin star rather than big fat
type gives me pause. In other words
the flag appears artificially aged IMO,
as if it were pulled through a dirty pipe.

            Hi,
Thanks for your observations and opinion.
To clarify the holes in the star actually do go through
both sides of the star. The holes just do not line up
            perfectly.
The reddish portion of the flag is the fine fragile cheese
cloth like cotton that rips very easily while the blue is maybe
a fragile rayon type. I'm actually afraid to unfold it because
it is so easy to damage so I believe it would be difficult to
"Age" in the way you describe without destroying the whole
            flag....though not impossible.
I have seen different size stars and small is more uncommon
but not unheard of. Even the pennant I posted has a smaller type
Star so I don't feel that's disqualifying marker.

              Small star

Early 60s USMC captured flag from photo group
I own. Note size of star.
