                      Used by the Commandos de Marine from the late '40's until about '62 (not sure if they used it after then). Indochina and Algerian Wars.

                        Obviously a child of WW2 the smock is part US m-42 jump jacket
                        Part Denison
                        And has colors of 45 German Lieber

                            It's a stunning pattern influenced by the last pattern of the war from Germany
                            The tans and reds of Lieber
                            I believe there are 3 different prints of this fabric.

                            I was introduced to this pattern here on Waf and since then had seen only a mere handful known to exist.
                            It's truly one of the 20th century's artful Cammo treasures
