Hi ! I have found some pics and information about sgt Juan Angel Elias. He served with Oliver Stone in april 1968 and he was a Lrrp of the 52nd Infantry
1st Cavalry Division. Sgt Elias was a black haired White Mountain Apache and was KIA on May 29, 1968.
I have found a site where his daughter named Anni Whiteraven Elias talk about his father :
"It is true that my father did in fact befriend Oliver Stone ; His choice of Willem Dafoe was inspired ! He took on this role with everything that he had and I am proud and honored to say that he possesses one of the two remaining dog tags my father wore. It was my pleasure to see him wear it. I am sure that my father wanted it that way !"
I thought that it is interesting to share with you.
