    Unusual Vietnamese made beret

Yesterday was the monthly Rose Bowl hunt that I try to never miss. Owen and I were walking the aisles and he took off to get a field made German camo jacket and I just kept walking. Sitting in a vintage clothing dealers booth was a large box of hats. Some o.d. caught my eye so I started digging. At the bottom was this beret.
It is a high quality Vietnamese made one piece wool body. Sewn to the front is this bullion badge. Don't know what it is ( Military, hopefully, school, religious, etc.). There is no tailor tag but there is a foil size 57 tag.
    Does anyone recognize this badge?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bob

I have no clue on the origin this is but it has a very British look to it, Lions rampant etc

Agreed and I also think you could be bang on with a school Bob, possibly a church school. The bullion and design look very European/British as Paul has stated.

        Yours, Guy.

Almost a flavour of a blazer badge to add to the speculation.

Speaking from my own school experience.

          *shudder*

Andrei said it is misspelled but means something like "Behold the Almighty in War".

Could it be from the period when the French were in control of the area? Unit crest from a French unit?

                Bonsoir,

I can say it's not french. If I can add my two cents: what about a british merchant navy company or ship?

                Cheers

I am open to any ideas. I at first thought a school or university when I saw it, but with Andrei's translation it doesn't sound very much like a school or civilian company motto.
