Thanks again to all those who commented on my previous thread. I was really heartened by your kind words and thought that perhaps you would like to see another jacket from my collection.
In all honesty I am quite a private collector who does not tend to show pieces from his core collection. However, I feel strongly that these Incredible men should be honoured and whats the point of having these things If you can't share them with friends of a like mind.
This jacket Is a beautiful piece and was simply put away by Craig when he returned, never washed or touched. The bottom right pocket shows some Montagnard 'pick' batique decoration and the whole thing Is filthy and full of red dust. This one really Is a little time capsule.
Craig Davis volunteered for service in Vietnam In 1968 and was assigned to CCC. Once on the compound he volunteered again, this time to run recon. He joined RT Wyoming as 1-1 under 1-0 Robert 'Squirrel' Sprouse where he remained for the rest of his tour. Craig Is mentioned In the Various Plaster Publications and Parnar's SOG Medic which Is dedicated to him. Sadly Craig passed away some 3 years ago. RIP to a brave warrior.
