I thought It would be nice to share pics of this jungle jacket In my collection. William 'Scott' Case was assigned to MACV SOG CCN In 1971. He served first as the ATL 1-1 of Recon Team Adder before taking the 1-0 team leader position which he held until the end of his tour In 1972, by which time CCN had transitioned to TF1AE. It would seem he was an excellent team leader who cared deeply for his men and had the ability to stay calm whatever the situation, Indeed his citations make mention of this.

Guy,
thanks for taking the time to share and post a nice provenanced uniform.
As ever, the citation and photograph elevate the uniform from simply being a garment into something much more direct and personal, tied to the man who once wore it.
Are there other items from Mr.Case that you know of in collections?

Dear All,
Thank you so much for all the kind comments.
Patrick, I believe there are other pieces to Mr Case In collections but I have yet to run across any.
Bob, thank you my Friend. I think people are seduced by the Christmas trees as they do look rather fine on first blush. However I am of the mind that I could not be happy with such a piece unless it had direct Veteran provenance. We see an Identical thing In TR collecting, where a collector will pass up what they perceive to be a run of the mill piece that Is absolutely righteous, In favour of an all singing and dancing Item of dubious origin. Give me the boring bit every time!
Once again, thanks to all who participated for their kind words.
Yours, Guy.
